以下是引用ballparks在2007-7-14 18:24:00的发言:How long you've been working? Out of the N years how many years of managerial experiences? Talk to the alumni from your interested schools in the coming MBA tours, that'll help a lot. Do some research beforehand. That'll help even more:-) 上市公司CFO如果是long-term career goal, 可能需要在essay里面解释一下short-term career goal以及如何从短期目标晋升到长期目标。If CFO of a listed company is your immediate post-MBA goal, that's cool You may also consider some MFE programs which are more specialized. Good luck! thanks very much for your kindly comments! What a pity I am not in China, that's why it is not feasible to talk with alumni to know more about MBA and the schools as well. generally speaking, how long does" long-term" here refer to? 10 years? or even 20 years? I hope to become CFO of a public company at my 35 (7-8 years later). does it sound ridiculous? am i exaggerating too much? (sorry I really don't have any clear idea about this point) you do remind me to think about the short-term goal. i am at a junior manager level, but i don't have any subodinates.(eg: no one reports to me). i need to work with marketing, sales, R&D engineers ,purchasing and logistics etc in order to prepare business plan especially for the newly launched products. i think i need to have more knowledge in various functional areas. that's why i think MBA is more suitable (rather than MFE or MACC). but i do not know how to build up a linkage between my long-term goal and short-term goal because i do not know what my short-term goal is. any ideas from all of you? thanks! |
