回忆一下，也好用来总结经验教训。

阅读：
1。讲蛇的头上的红外感应器官-热眼pits，长在蛇的眼睛和鼻孔之间叫颊窝的地方，头的两侧各有一个，这个器官是没有视觉能力的。这个器官工作原理是可以觉察到周围环境中出现的比环境温度高的物体，而且要是移动的。举了一个例子是一只在笼子里的死老鼠，只有被拖走的时候，蛇的热眼才能探测到。人们研究它的原理，起初以为是一层细胞膜在起作用，但是实验证明，割掉一部分细胞膜，蛇仍然对热的移动物有反应。后来又讲到热眼虽然不能看东西不能听声音但对蛇辨别位置很有帮助，因为它通过神经连到大脑的位置与眼睛连到大脑的位置一样。
2。讲人们对空气的认识过程，一开始人们认为空气什么都没有，只是有助燃的作用。对空气的认识不像固体和液体那么简单，因为没有办法称它。后来有一个化学家发明了一种两个瓶子的装置可以过滤气体捕捉气体，从而使人们认识到了自然界中第三种状态气态。但是这个科学家也没有研究空气的化学成份，这些都是后来研究的了。
3。Iran伊朗的游牧民族和水利设施。伊朗的土地起初不适合耕种粮食，因此他们主要以游牧为主。牧民在国家起着很重要的作用，不仅提供食物，而且制定一些规则，国家的贵族要依靠他们来支持，因为怕他们影响力过大，经常让他们不落之间发生战争以削弱他们的实力。后来当地人受附近两河流域国家的影响，也想种地了，于是就投入大量的资金建设灌溉系统，不久那里的土地也适合种粮食了，于是转向农业社会。这种灌溉系统比较特殊，有很多分散的井可以减少导渠的长度，而且在地下流可以减少蒸发。

听力：
1。排球队女生跟导师谈毕业论文的事情。老师说她应该加紧把论文搞定了否则会影响毕业啊。女生说我们排球队今年战绩很好如果下场比赛胜利就可以进决赛了，我想把排球比赛打好，比赛完了的5个星期来搞论文。老师说看了她列的提纲觉得不错，而且觉得可以在某杂志上发表。女生说明天比赛如果输了就可以开始写论文了，如果赢了就要等一个星期后的决赛后才能开始写论文。
2。钟乳石的形成。有人发现水蒸发后会留下残留物然后残留物累积就会长高。有个物理教授知道这个发现后作了个蒸发试验，形成了柱状下垂物。这种柱状下垂物跟钟乳石类似了。为什么钟乳石都是胡萝卜形状的(下面是尖的)而且各个山洞里的钟乳石形状都差不多，是因为里面水含的杂质的浓度都一样。
3。讲Design。美国一对有名的夫妻设计专家，举了他们设计的椅子，坐起来来很舒服，而且很便宜，便于移动。虽然貌似不起眼，但是一个很好的设计。其他设计师设计的虽然好看但不实用。
4。一个音乐系的女学生想发表文章，找就业指导中心的老师咨询。女学生说我是学音乐的但是想，还没说完就被老师打断，老师说我遇到过你们音乐系的来找工作机会。女生说其实我也是爱好文学的，并且在校报发表过文章。现在想出去发表文章挣钱，问老师有什么好办法。老师说方法一是写信过去介绍一下自己，如果对方回信就有机会了，方法二是通过agent推荐，因为出版社比较相信agent。
5。树吃虫子。有一些树可以捕获虫子来获取营养，有两种方法，第一种是被动的，通过叶子分泌的粘液粘住虫子然后细菌帮其分解虫子，然后叶子就可以吸收了。第二种是主动的，好像是叶子摆动什么的抓住虫子。这些植物之所以要捕虫子是因为他们生长在土壤营养不足的地方，通过虫子他们可以补充氮等元素。
6。市场学课。通过面包的推销来阐述市场的重要性。超市里有很多种面包，要想有人买即就要定好位。不仅让消费者知道这种商品有它该有的功能，还要让消费者感到这种商品是健康的，乐意去购买。

1。Your favorite place in the city.
2。When you have problems, you will ask advisor for help or search it through internet or library.
3。In the letter the student suggests the school to remove the big-screen TV in the cafeteria because it is too noisy. Some students usually study there. And also students usually discuss with each other there. But now nobody discuss questions there.
In the conversation, the man disagrees with the suggestion in the letter for two reasons. First, the TV is for students to relax. If students want to study, they should go to library. Second, students are big enough to make decision for themselves and no need discuss with others.
4。Echolocation: detect objects or position through the refection of sound.
In the lecture, the professor use bat as an example. First, it can detect location through echolocation to avoid crash on a tree. Second, it can detect the mouse to prey it.
5。The man’s problem is that the equipment in the radio station is down. The first solution is to buy new one, but it is too expensive. The second solution is to ask engineering students to help repair it. It is free but the man is afraid it will make the problem even worse.
6。The professor is mainly discussing Suspense in the film to hold audience’s attention. First is the result is unknown. For example, two men are searching gold with different methods. But who can finally find the gold first is unknown. Second is the process has suspense. For example, a man and a woman in the movie will fall in love with each other is know to audience. But they also care about the process.

Lecture: disagree (1)take much space. 25% city area to support the city. (2)In order to store the energy, people must use battery. The material to make battery is rare. For example the lead. (3)located in remote area is not convenient to repair. Also to maintain solar system need high technology.
