in the above Q, i think that both A and C are right. but due to the comparation of two actions, C is better. (og267)

it means that if there is not C, i will choice A.

but.... if the sentence is changed into negative one that"like adults, they may not notice and remember details that their elders ignore.", the only choice will be A.(see og91)

2,the key is the position of only: as i know, "only" should modify the phrase it folows. different positions mean different logical meanings. by the way, the position of "only" is a favorite trick of ETS.

第二题c＆e有什么区别为何选e呢

做题方法：看上面的句子结构，看到and（前面又没有逗号)，直接看前面谓语，肯定是谓语并列，was published .... and ... published by....

如何排除C：因为and在句子的中间，后面肯定不能接一个完整的句子，直接排除有主语的分句（看到and后有名词就闪），否则就是run-on，C中one published by直接就是一个完整的句子，直接排除

我做的题很少，一些总结可能有错误，请大家斧正

(1) as+n.以…的身份，当作…：as a child/as an adolescent

(2) as的句型：

① A do sth., just as B do

② just as A do sth., so B do

③ just as A do, so too + 倒装/正常语序的句子 (正如…,同样地…)

④ the same … as

⑤ so… as to

⑥ even as = just as; as long as = if; inasmuch as =because

⑦ not so much… as

(3) as 的固定搭配

begin as, depict as, regard as, perceive as, represent as, see as, be priceless as, be acclaimed as, think of as, be seem as, act as, apprenticeship as…t235

(4) as不能与as if /as though对换，前者表示动作的方式，强调某一动作与另一动作的相似性，后者表示虚拟语气，含有“与事实相反之意” [OG180]

(5) 表比较的时候

like （介词）+ 名词或名词短语

like/unlike+N.，SVO，这个N.是和后面的S比较的，两者在逻辑上要有可比性
like/unlike + 句子或介词短语 绝对错误，可以直接排除

as (连词) + 句子（as作连词（像…一样），后面跟一个句子），需要补出助动词，且与主句保持一致。

(6) 表举例的时候such as优于like

(7) Like A, B do (A, B必须是完全相同的结构，具有可比性)；A, like B

(8) as 跟when从句，as 是连词，当…的时候：As when she was a child…

第一题用as不用 like， 个人认为是怕引起修饰不明。用 like 是往前修饰还是往后修饰，没有用as 清除。
