答案是D，可是我怎么觉得D说反了呢，题干的错误应该是比较了死亡人数，没有比较死亡率，所以应该是Comparing total numbers of deaths rather than comparing death rates per thousand members of each group 才对呀？？请指教！

我也是！不明白B什么意思，不过觉得好像也说反了。。。

题干简化：二战中美国公民死了37500，大兵死了40800.结论：到海外当兵并不比在国内当老百姓危险多少。
问削弱。

首先很明显，如果美国公民3亿，就死了37500，而大兵就50000，却死了40800，则肯定削弱。而事实也基本如此：公民比大兵的基数要多很多。

A对比国内和海外服役的死亡人数。与公民死亡无关。
B将公民和大兵死亡人数的不同 表示为公民死亡/总死亡人数[即37500/(37500+40800)]与大兵死亡/总死亡人数[即40800/(40800+37500)]的区别。  此对比不能说明那个更危险，因为这和直接比较死亡人数是一样的。
C将服役的因为事故死亡和战死的大兵分开。 与题干无关。
D比较每千人死亡率而不是比较死亡人数。显然这能说明做公民更安全。
E将在美国事故死亡的人数与战死的大兵数相比。不能说明二战中作公民安全还是当兵安全~
多多指教。

我觉得你解释的B是对的。对于D，文章的错误应该是比较了死亡数量而不是死亡率，所以D说反了呀？?

比较死亡率是没错的，但是如果你用在总人数作为分母，在美国国内死的人和在海外战场死的人都用这一个分母，这和比较死亡人数就没有区别了。所以B肯定是错的。
而D的意思才是两个地方分别的死亡率，两个地方的死亡人数分别占两个地方的总人数的比重。
