不是technique 和putting lipstick平行，而是 technique degrades major works of art这个完整的动作跟putting lipstick on a Greek statue平行

可是我怎么记得新东方的老师说it不能指代一个句子的成分呢？如果这样的话，it是不是应该指代的是technique degrades major works of art啊？谢谢。

是有点问题，按理说理解上的话it应该指代这个完整的意思，但是 it是不能指代前面的句子的

所以结论就是：考试的时候应该不会有这样的正确答案吧。。。
