名子怪,但是主要指在本国的本科成绩,曾拿过奖学金,国外的象我们,主要看GPA.

"upper second class honours degree"
it doesn't refer to the merit based followship, it is the claasification of undergraduate degree( first degree), normally there is two classes ( first and second), each class also has 3 levels ( upper, middle, and lower), for example if the average of the modules you take at university are all 75 out of 100, then you will award upper first class of your degree! ( in Uk most of unis' pass rate of exam is only 35%-40%, most student are gain between 50%-60%) and second upper means the average of your marks over 50% or so. but it may differ from uni to uni.
and honours degree basically means you have 4 years based bechelar degree.
because in UK the education system between england and scottland are deffrent. in england the bechelar degree ( honour degree) is only 3 years but the high school education is one year more than Scotts,and in Scottland if you study 3 years at uni, you are able to award ordinary degree and if you study one year more, then you will award honour degree. it is just the way to balance the graduates'age. and also this means people can see how well you did from your certisfication.
so if you graduated from any university in China, then you are eligible.
