In D, the "fuel-efficient" and "those(small cars)" has been compared

mistakenly.

those should refer to "small cars" but in D, it will be mistakenly refered to as

"more fuel-sufficient cars"...

more fuel-efficient small cars 和small cars more fuel-efficient 相比，后者修饰

更清晰，也就是说more在more fuel-efficient small cars 中可以修饰fuel-efficient ，

也有可能修饰cars,而后者small cars more fuel-efficient 则更清晰，况且比较对象是

fuel-efficient 而不是cars
