16.   Lines n and p lie in the xy-plane.  Is the slope of line n less than the slope of line p ?

(1)  Lines n and p intersect at the point (5,1).

(2)  The y-intercept of line n is greater than the y-intercept of line p.

答案是C。

我不知道是不是我对intercept的理解有问题。我一直认为intercept是截距，是一个绝对值，是没有正负的。那样的话，解题时就要考虑两条线与Y轴相交时是交在上面还是下面，那就没有确定值了，slope N可能大于也可能小于 slope P。

没搜到这道题目，可能我太笨了，请大家帮我看看，不要笑我。

为什么没有人理。。。难道真那么简单，简单到看过此贴的人都不屑回答。。。

  line:  y1 = k1x + b1;    k1 is slop, b1 is intercept which can be negtive.
N line: y2 = k2x + b2;

(1). 只有一个相交点，显然不能判断。
(2) 不知P 和 N 是否平行，显然不能判断。

如(1)和(2)， 则：

P line : 1 =  5k1 + b1;
N line: 1 =  5k2 + b2;

即 k1 - k2 = (b2 - b1)/5 , 因为 b2 > b1, so, k1 is greate than k2.

不知是否正确？

intercept是截距，与坐标轴的相交点, 有正负
