counterparts和labor movement好象逻辑关系不太对吧
虽然D的表达方式有点变扭
但是GMAT还是以逻辑关系为第一顺序的呀

1. {the American labor} movement Vs.{ its} counterpart(s)in other Western democracie(s)
Eg: their male counterparts Vs. women scientists
men of science Vs.women of science  NOT their female counterparts

Maybe you will challange me that "movement" which is single can't compare with "counterparts" which is plural. NO,you are wrong.
for example:
OG 264: --- that (unlike) the males of most species of moth, the male whistling moths of Nambung, Australia, call female moths to them ......

of course, "single vs. single " is the best. If change to : Unlike its counterpart in any other Western democracy , the American labor movement.....

2....never has embraced... must be wrong because violates syntax. "never" modifing embraced not has should be placed near the word "embraced".

其实不是的，两者都可以

很明显，counterparts 于American labor movement 对应，要比和American labor对应要简洁的多。
至于counterparts用复数也很好理解，American labor movement 对应的是它在other Western democracies的counterparts,当然不止一个
