Eg: their male counterparts Vs. women scientists
men of science Vs.women of science NOT their female counterparts
Maybe you will challange me that "movement" which is single can't compare with "counterparts" which is plural. NO,you are wrong.
for example:
OG 264: --- that (unlike) the males of most species of moth, the male whistling moths of Nambung, Australia, call female moths to them ......
of course, "single vs. single " is the best. If change to : Unlike its counterpart in any other Western democracy , the American labor movement.....
2....never has embraced... must be wrong because violates syntax. "never" modifing embraced not has should be placed near the word "embraced".
