另外问一下WITH短语的用法

这里with短语修饰的是sleeping这个状态。它不会被误认为修饰monkeys或branches吗？

在这里面WITH短语修饰的是vegetarian
请问WITH短语修饰前面的部分有什么原则？和which比有什么不同？
不能说：动作优先名词。至少在with引导的介词短语中是这样。
with 的意思，一般是补充说明发生的某件事情，或某种事物具有的特性，或某件事情的附带目的之类的。怎么说呢？
除你讲的那两例，比如：某人干了什么事情，with 什么什么。后面是顺带的目的的。
OG 中讲到with的用法的，包括未划线部分，我记得大概是5-6处。兄弟你在感觉感觉。

此题正确的选项是B。
乍一看，这儿用的是require of sb. to do sth.结构，那么是不是说OG在自相矛盾呢？我认为不是的
在181题中，动词不定式to survive实际上是修饰从句中的主语the enormous research and development expenditures的，而分词短语required of firms也是修饰主语的，也就是说to survive和required of firms是两个并列的修饰成分（某种意义上说，把两者的位置调换也是说的通的，当然我不是说真的换）
而在109题中，require是句子的谓语
其实仔细比较一下，require在两个句子中起的作用是绝对不同的
