我觉得肯恩故事你对状语从句的使用不是特别清晰。

像E，主句是：many spare teeth lie in seemingly limitless reserve，这

里有一个地点状语从句in the shark’s jaws修饰lie，逻辑主语是lie的主语

many spare teeth 。从句是：each one ready to slide into the

appropriate position whenever an active tooth is lost or worn down 这

里整整一句是做独立主格结构做状语修饰主句的动词lie，表伴随的动作。然后

在这个从句的层次里面，又有一个状语从句whenever an active tooth is

lost or worn down 修饰each one ready to slide into the appropriate
