(2) P is the sum of the squre of two positive integer.

答案选D。由条件1可以推出remainder是1，由条件2怎么推啊？

由题干可知,450<x<550,350<y<450.

若(1)成立,则450<x<500,此时800<(x+y)<950,这不足以判断(x+y)与800更接近还是与900更接近.

若(2)成立,则350<y<400,与只有(1)成立时情况类似.

若(1)(2)同时成立,则450<x<500,350<y<400.所以800<(x+y)<900,这仍旧不足以判断(x+y)与800更接近还是与900更接近.

所以选E.

P是奇数且可以表示为a^2 + b^2,说明a^2和b^2一奇一偶,由对称性,不妨设a^2为奇数b^2为偶数,也即a为奇数,b为偶数.再根据奇数的平方被4除必余1,偶数的平方被4除必余0,可知P被4除应余1.
