Q32:

What is the remainder when the positive integer x is divided by 8?

(1)     When x is divided by 12, the remainder is 5.

(2)     When x is divided by 18, the remainder is 11.

                  

A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.

B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.

C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.

E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

 i think the answer is e because there are at least 2X

答案确实是E哈。。。但是这类问题一般只有硬算的方法吗？xiexie!

我觉得这种题一个条件是肯定不够的
所以只要能试出 2个来那当然最好~
我的方法：
（1）12n+5
 (2)18n+11
当n>0时 两式必不相等
当(1 )为 24n+5 时 x=29

当(1)为 60n+5    2 为 54n+11时 x=65
(1)和（2) 的变量前面乘以倍数 但必须保证 12n*N>18n*M 只有这样 n 才为正数
然后再试两个，n为整数 就可以了
我的做法 很不严谨就是了
