不是正确的用法就是答案，很糊涂了。偏向A。

我觉得肯定是A，单纯从句子结构看E，E中逗号后面maybe simply a reaction to certain medications，和前句到底什么关系？做整个句子的什么成分呢？做同位语的话，它做谁的同位语？想做symptom，但是又有可能是another problem的同位语。而且句意和A也不一样啊。

2、E的前句是not so much...but...,这种结构也没有见过啊，as去哪儿了？

3、E中的symptomatic 是形容词，怎么能用在but后面的symptomatic of another problem？but后面应该是个名词词组啊

最近刚研究了该题,认为答案是E没错.

be symptomatic of sth 是个固定用法,意思是在sth中某某问题已经很严重.

今天自己做题选了A, 看到答案是E, 还发现自己以前的解释，真是羞愧。。。
对不起了。

查了以前的讨论，发现是道争议题，不过考虑了再三还是觉得选A 满足平行，而且 so （much） as用于否定的比较中，也不是没有见过， OG 那道 90 days inventory的。

E的错误是:
 1. symptomatic 是 adj, 不可能和an illness 平行。
2.  maybe 是 adv, 只能修饰simplely, 完全改变了原句的意思。
