If the informationg in th passage is true, which one of the following CANNOT be true?

D. There are fewer good cooks who enjoy serving and preparing food than there are good cooks who are big eaters.

E. Gourmet cooks, fast-food cooks, and cooks who are health food enthusiasts are all big eaters.

对不起,我问一下
我觉得她说good cooks包括gourmet cooks fast-food cooks和health food
cooks
然后not all good cooks are big eaters就是说
"not all g&f&h cooks are big eaters"
E选项说 g&f&h cooks are all big eaters 就不会对了
我可能哪儿个地方没有理解好,没转过弯来,请不吝执教.

嗯？那你不是知道了e是错的吗，你的理解好像没有什么问题啊!
看到这种绝对的形容词，如all each 还有every之类的就得当心，实在来不及，这种选项就不要再看了，大多是错得吧

这道题的答案是D.就是题目认为E是can be true的
我选的是E,因为我推下来E can not be true
是不是说some good cooks..some good cooks..other good cooks加起来不能代表所有的good cooks?
我还是觉得我对题可能没有理解好

我刚开始的时候也觉得E是答案，主要思路是这样的：
cooks包含good cooks，good cooks是个子集。既然说not all good cooks
are big eaters，就是说cooks里的一个子集not big eaters，那当然cooks
不全都是big eaters了。
但是，再仔细想，发现Gourmet cooks, fast-food cooks, and cooks who
are health food enthusiasts也只是cooks的一个子集，所以，good cooks
这个子集不会影响这个子集。
so E可能对也可能错。
终于明白了。。。。。

E是can be true的,因为not all good cooks are big eaters，表明 SOME good cooks are big eaters.
Gourmet cooks, fast-food cooks, and cooks who are health food enthusiasts 都是好厨师，所以他们有可能都是。
当然，有这种可能，并不一定肯定是。
而D则根本不可能。
