No.2, I agree with you. if we choose two male candidates from two universities, [that is C(2,1)*C(2,1)] we can only choose the two female candidates from the other two universities. To determine from which two universities we can choose male candidates, we use C(4,2). So the answer is C(4,2)*C(2,1)*C(2,1). Is that right, tongxun?
