好象没有be placement of这个用法哟! 有问题!
因为placement只有"安置;放置;辨认;评价;定名次;预定;下赌注"等意思.

要用place来表示"代替..."的意思好象只有:
"in place of sb./sth."或者"in sb's/sth's place"

呵呵，有理！这个题和OG上“快离任的总统”和“飞机翅膀成型”的题有些类似。对单词的意思不能想当然。

都好像不对，them,指代混乱
但是，to be placement of 更不对，也不好，

但是如果没有更好的选择，我还是choose " for them to replace "

我查了字典（金山和韦氏），现将韦氏的解释摘录如下：
Main Entry:placement
Pronunciation:*pl*s-m*nt
Function:noun
Date:1844

1 : an act or instance of placing: as a : an accurately hit ball (as in tennis) that an opponent cannot return b : the assignment of a person to a suitable place (as a job or a class in school)
2 : PLACEKICK
金山上面也没有说placement有动词的意思。
所以我觉得用placment不大妥当，大家一起来讨论。

能用v.则不用replacement
in place of一般用来表示名词，如 n.in place of n. 或 n.is used in place of n.
表示动作一般用replace
另外我感觉them在此没有歧义
而many students (to be in place of ) books.感觉上像students replace books, 而不是computers replace books.

大家认为呢？
