1. Your could never find a surface (solid enough to stand on Saturn) because the planet is less dense than water.
A ...
B on Saturn where it is solid enought to stand
C where it is solid enough that you can stand on Saturn
D on Saturn that is solid enough to stand
E that is so solid that one can stand on Saturn
answer A.
Should the perfect one be
"solid enough to stand on on Saturn"? The first 'on' as in 'stand on surface'
and the second 'on' as in 'on Saturn.
2. In the old Dutch settlement of Beverwyck-now Albany, New York-so many people were hurt and windows (broken that an ordinance was issued forbidding) golf in the streets.
A....
B broken that they issued an ordinance to forbid
C were broken that they issued an ordinance for bidding
D had been broken that an ordiance was issued to forbid
E had been broken that an ordinace was issued forbidding
answer A .
1."solid enough to stand on on Saturn"这好像不大可能。 on on Saturn?
B on Saturn where it is solid enought to stand
C. enough that..
1.
What the hell? Got real confused.But...
B, D illogically infer that "it" stands on Saturn. C, E are wordy.
2.
If A had a second "were" before "broken", it would be perfect. Yet, "they" in B and C can only refer to the "many people", making the whole sentence illogic.
1. Yeh, "stand on on saturn" is kind of weird. But my point is like Mush's, that without the extra 'on', that means 'stand surface' is also correct?
A is probably relatively correct, the best maybe "On Saturn, you could never find a surface enough to stand on, ...".
Even if "stand on on saturn" is more clear, we cannot say so.
Of the five choices, just choose the best, perhaps it is not perfect.
