If the square root of the product of three distinct positive integers is equal to the largest of the three numbers, what is the product of the two smaller numbers?

(1) The largest number is 12.

(2) The average (arithmetic mean) of the three numbers is 20/3

I chose A, but the answer is D.

Why?

这题可以说是一个难题.

解法如下:

设这三个数为a,b,c,不妨设 a>b>c

由题知 sqrt(a*b*c)=a 则有 b*c=a

由1知,可以算出bc=12

由2知,(a+b+c)/3=20,则: a+b+c=20,又有bc=a,加上题目的限制条件，可以得唯一解
a=12 b=6 c=2

所以答案是D

可是我想知道除了直接代入整数的方法外，有没有其它直接求解的方法呢？在考试的时候，有没有什么妙法至少知道这个方程可解。

a+b+c=20
bc=a

有条件限制，所以能求的出来。由题知, a>b>c,且都是正整数，所以有 7
