本来想毕业后工作两三年申请top 10的mba的，但是今天听说如果是国内学生的话，即使有了工作经验也很难申到top的mba。我知道这个一个case by case的问题，很难回答。

我只是想问问看，如果在国内的名校毕业，gpa,gmat.toefl都还不错的话，在大公司工作两三年后有多大的机会能申到top mba呢？如果去米国先读个master，工作几年再申请会不会成功的机会大很多呢？

也许我的问题有些幼稚，但是真的很想听听大家的意见。thx~

并非你想象的那么难进。

看你的经验类型，看你的ESSAY,看你的语言能力等等。TOEFL好像有2年有效期的。

有时候很难说，差的学校可能据了你，好的学校反而收你，这样的事情不是没有过。

有的人是先从排名50的申请起，然后逐步加码，最后去了哈佛。

有的人是先申请最TOP的，然后向下申请，直到有学校接受。

建议：不要入错行（与以后学习目标一致最好），工作中多抓住机会，多与巨N的人一起工作，多留心给自己以后写RESUME准备材料。

It depends on which pool you belong to. For example, if you are in engineering/science applicants pool, it is much harder(too many applicants, many have higher scores/GPAs, and B-school does not like such applicants -- compared to applicants with business background). But if you are in a pool which can make the students pool look more diversified, i.e., a non-traditional applicant background, your chance is much bigger. Thus, even you are from the difficult major like engineering/science, try to jump to more business related position, which will help you in application.

Study a master first in USA is not a good idea. In USA, after master, most people have to get a job, which may not be the one you desire, you may have to keep legal status and also try green card, which will take several years. Plus, in US, most Chinese have to work in jobs more related to technology and have very slim opportunity to expose to management( which is very easy in China though), so you are in big disadvantage in application.

It also depends on which schools you are targeted at. HSW and Magic Seven are way harder to get into than other top 15 schools (several of them are also called "top 10").
