1. Accounting: public accounting; corporate accounting; and consulting This area of study gives candidates the credit hours required to sit for the Certified Public Accountant(CPA) exam and is a broader alternative than the Master of Accountancy. 2. Entrepreneurship: management in start-ups and small businesses; venture capital; strategic planning; and consulting This area of study is a good option for candidates with significant and targeted work experience or those who work in family businesses. General Management: consulting and small businesses. Human Resources/ Organization Management: Industrial/ labor Relations; Staffing and training; Compensation and benefits; change management; and consulting. While Human Resources is considered a core business function, Organization Management is a broad and strategic area better suited to candidates with significant work experience or those who have a dual concentration with a core business function. 6. This area of study prepares MBAs for a number of specialties depending on choice of elective courses. 8. Operations/ production management: Manufacturing and production management; business process reengineering; management of service operations; product development; and consulting. This area of study prepares MBAs for several specialties depending on choice of elective courses. Very often MBAs in the operations area have technical , quantitative, or engineering backgrounds. 9. Specialized studies: Healthcare; entertainment; environmental; international; Not-for-profit; public administration/ government; Real estate; and others. These courses of study are generally industry-specific. The specialized study concentration allows MBAs to gain entrance into specific industries either directly or through trade associations or specialized industry consulting.作者: celinapple 时间: 2006-9-12 14:46
