这道题出现在白勇的《GMAT语法全解》的绪言里面，在新东方教材上也有这道题，我选的答案是C，但是新东方给的答案是A，不知各位什么看法。

通过什么来支持,用by supporting比较好

这道题出现在白勇的《GMAT语法全解》的绪言里面，在新东方教材上也有这道题，我选的答案是C，但是新东方给的答案是A，不知各位什么看法。

a by supporting 意思比较明确，c in support of 模糊； c 巴意思改了；还有这种罕见的引导词where合while 比较，我一般选原来的，维持意四不变

谢谢回答，我当时是这样考虑的。

A选项的话如果除开where这个引导词，从语法上来讲没有任何问题，但是where是不是可以引导这样的句子？我查了一些词典也没有看到where可以引导这样的句子。反而从句意上来讲，用while更加合适。

另一个从句意的逻辑上来讲，A选项是说通过支持征税来默认那种伤害，而C选项是默认那种伤害以支持征税，感觉上C从逻辑上来讲更说得通，但是的确如楼上所说句意有改变。

我觉得最关键的问题还是那个引导词的问题，能不能就引导词分析一下。谢谢!!
