Several financial officers of the company spoke on condition that they not be named in the press reports.

  1. that they not be named
  2. that their names will not be used
  3. that their names are not used
  4. of not having their names
  5. of not naming them
答案是A.
我觉着E好象不错,是不是因为naming them缺少逻辑主语啊?
B,C错在used了吗?一定要name不是use吗?

I am sorry but are you sure the answer is A? I did the exact same problem

in the Princeton Review book and I am pretty sure the answer was C. A doesn't

even look grammartically correct to me.

The only two legit candidates are B and C in my opinion, and since it's a condition so we don't need the future tense here. That's why C is left out to be the right one.

Yes, answer given is A.

A has valid grammer if you look at it as "demand/order (that) sb not be

named..."
