建议各位xdjm从个人经验和对各个学校的深入研究出发，发表一下对waitlist变admission的分析。
1。请问大家手头有没有成功的case？
2。成功的概率大不大呢？近年的趋势如何呢？
3。什么情况下，学校会从waitlist里面挑选呢？
4。一般最晚是什么时候可以得到final decision of waitlisted candidates?

我认为每个学校WL的政策都不一样，还是按照学校来总结比较有价值的。另外BW上面有每个学校从WL录取学生的人数，大家看了以后就应该心里有底了。

bw上 wl to ad 的数字好像年度之间波动很大！不知道有没有参考价值的说。

I personally know a couple of friends who went off the waitlist and got in Chicago and Darden.

If someone is on the waitlist, it means the applicant is basically qualified for the program. He or she should have a chance to get off the waitlist or a good chance of being admitted if she or she re-applies in the coming year.

acceptance rate比较高的学校是相当难的

different schools have differenct policies:

1) for most top seven: what you can do is to wait, wait, and wait;

2) for other schools: you can submit new reference letter, additional essay, or report professional progress, or re-take gmat etc.

yes, different schools have different policies.
