不太明白提干的意思，尤其是A note as B that C 我知道C是补充说明B的，但是note as怎么解释？

1 A 引用了一个例子B。。。

2 A 被当作一个例子B来引用。。。

看来看去，我觉得解释2更符合句义，但是如果是被动，原句是不是应该改为:

A was noted as B that…?

本来句子的语序是note sth as a humorous example,个人认为这里note as 并不是固定搭配，as a humorous example是对sth的补充说明，由于sth太长 that the elephant that gave rides to children at the Whipsnade Zoo was earning annually exactly what she then earned as director of adult education for LACE>LondonLACE>，后置。
这样的例子应该很多的，好像杨鹏难句中前面几个例子里面就有一个
