Hello everyone.
MBA student, once admitted, can get loan from US institutes, for example citibank to finance MBA study. It will cost a student around $60k for two-year program, but the loan can cover this cost. So a student without even one cent can go and study there as long as he/she gets the loan.
Please advise if it is the case, thanks a lot.
Your understanding is right!
If you're exceptionally competitive, you can also be awarded some fellowship or scholarship, which sometime can cover your tuition and fees.
但是有些学校是不提供non-cosigner loan的
所以还需要了解各个学校的loan policy
exactly. I don't very much long for fellowship..etc.
As long as some universities can admit me, I'm sure I can repay the loan after my graduation.
Is there anyone who agree with me or hold the same opinion?
Let's share thoughts, thanks very much.
add me.
i will be satisfied with the loan which can cover my study costs.
Does anyone have a list of schools that provide non-cosigner loan?
Or has anyone done a research on that? It's easy since all information are listed on the schools' website of admission.
If we need the non-cosigner loan, then we better choose among these schools. Most of the top schools do provide such kind of loan.
Is there anyone who feels that it will be a financial burden since we do need to repay the loan when we get a job after MBA graduation. Any ideas?

yes, it's a burden. but it is not a problem.
Hello guys. If we be granted the loan from US bank or loan system, is there any risk during the visa application? Will the VO be ok with the loan? Or enough deposit is necessary? Thanks..

按道理,贷款可以作为签证的资金证明;
但为保险起见,最好自己借钱,凑一个足够的存款证明,至少cover第一年的费用。
Hello, thanks very much for your ideas.
So both loan and deposit are necessay. Loan is the true tool to finance our study while deposit is to ensure the VO giving us the visa. I feel it's kind of stupid. If we are granted the loan, why still need deposit? Not sure. Is this the normal case? Are people all doing things in this way after they get admitted then start to apply visa?
Moreover, it's said once we are admitted, we are automatically considered to get loan (of course we need to apply for those universities that provide such kind of loan.) So what is the normal amount we borrow? $50k or more?
Thanks and let's share ideas.
Your understanding is right.
If you study at a top10 school, you will spend $110-120K for two years.
如果签证的时候用学校提供的贷款,估计签证官很可能判断你为了还贷款,肯定要留在美国找工作,而不是return to china.除非,回国的工资狂高。。。

Hello dear friend,
I understand what you mean. So when should we prepare this kind of deposit? Say if we aim to be enrolled in 2007 fall, shall we borrow and collect the money and save in the bank in 2006? Or any specific time? I kind of need help on problems related to "money"..haha. Thanks if anyone can help.
No specific time limit.
But the longer the better. As I know, many friends have deposit in bank more than 3 months or so before visa application.
Hi dear friend,
Then for those who don't have deposits in bank but have loan financing, how likely are they going to get passed in visa application?
Really thanks a lot.
Most of them would borrow enough money to put in his/her account or the parents' account.
But I belive a few may use loans provided by citibank to apply for visa. But that's a little risky.
