A rather than B：宁愿选择A，也不愿选择B。AB可以是任何词性。
A instead of B：宁愿选择A，也不愿选择B。AB只能是名词性的词。

A，as well as B：A可以作主语，B不能作主语。
A and B：AB同时作主语。

还有RATHER THAN 是连词,INSTEAD OF 是介词
