130. Bank depositors in US are all financially protected against bank failure because the government insures all individuals 's bank deposits . An economist argues that this insurance is partly responsible for the high rate of bank failure , since it removes from depositors any financial incentive to find out whether the bank that holds theri money is secure against failure . If depositros wre more selevive , then banks would need to be secure in order to compete for depositors's money.
assumtion.
d.The difference in the interest rates paid to depositors by different banks is not a significant factor in bank failures.
E. Potentail depositors are able to determine which banks are secure agaisnt failure

答案是e

但是D不是排除它因的假设吗。请指点

两个原则:

1. (D)取非的话, 对原假设来说还是成立, 因为原假设围绕depositor和bank failure

2. 排除它因的选项多半为not only / sole factor (表唯一性)

130.

The economist's argument makes which of the following assumptions?

(A) Bank failures are caused when big borrowers default on loan repayments.

(B) A significant proportion of depositors maintain accounts at several different banks.

(C) The more a depositor has to deposit, the more careful he or she tends to be in selecting a bank.

(D) The difference in the interest rates paid to depositors by different banks is not a significant

factor in bank failures.

(E) Potential depositors are able to determine which banks are secure against failure.

D 的difference in the interest rates....significant factor 表示D是无关选项吧

我的问题是B虽然一看是无关选项, 但是我看不懂OG对B的解释:

The argument is consistent with each depositor’s money being held by a single bank, so B is not assumed. ????

原文没有提到single bank呀?

请教NN的说.
