以前看一个贴子说申请STANFORD一定不要强调自己的IT背景.为什么?谢谢!!!

不是非要强调，而是应该把重点放到show其他的地方

There are reasons. don't you know that the center of silicon valley is located in Stanford?
the famous IT companies that started by Stanford graduates:
Yahoo, Google, SUN (stanford university network), VMware(a CS class project, just sold to EMC for 625M USD) .... There are too many....

u mean there are too many IT companies around, so people with IT background should not emphasize it?
