The b-school admissions committee at Carnegie Mellon University has released the topics for this season’s Tepper MBA essays. The 2015-2016 CMU MBA application includes two required questions of 300 words each. Applicants are asked to describe an important moment in their lives, and to address their potential to contribute to and benefit from the Tepper MBA program.

The CMU / Tepper MBA essay topics are as follows:

Essay 1: Describe a defining moment in your life. How has it shaped you professionally? (300 words)

Essay 2: Based on your research and interactions, describe how your strengths contribute to the Tepper School community. How will you benefit from being a member of the Tepper School MBA program? (300 words)
