Q: 50 95%, V: 45 99%

早上刚刚考完。考的时候感觉很差，分数出来倒挺好的，可能真的有不少题没有算分。9点考试，我8点到了，管理人员就让我进去考试了。不过也好，早考早结束。

以下是我记得的题目：

Argument:

Washington County used its highway funding on straightening its roads. However, the number of traffic accidents increased after the road system was modified. On the other hand, Adam County received a smaller amount of highway funding and used it on enforcing speed limits. Adam County saw a decrease of traffic accidents by 15% within a year. So states should use their highway fundings on enforcing speed limits instead of improving roads. (这是大概的意思，原题很长，我记不住。）

Issue

Quantitative:

1. when a number is divided by 60, the remainder is 7, what is the remainder when the number is divided by 15? (My answer: 7)--这是考试的第一题

2. M is the least common multiples of 90, 196 and 300. Which of the following is not a factor of M?

a. 600

b. 900

c. 2,100

d. 4,900

(我忘了最后一个选项，可能是700， 或1，500，反正我觉得没有一个答案是对的。在犹豫了近3分钟后，我觉定放弃，随便选了一个4,900。）

3. The four sides of the parallelogram are of the same length, x=60度, (x是平行四边形的一个角), what's the ratio of the length of the shorter diagnal and the length of the longer diagnal. (1/根号3)

4. toss two dices, what are the probability that the sum of the numbers that face up will be 5 or 9. (My answer: 2/9)

5. n and k are positive integers, n+k<8, how many different numbers can nk be? (可能表达的和原题不同,反正意思是, n+k<8, nk最多有几个不同的结果?) (My answer: 10)

(以上两道题我都是用列举法的,我是学文科的,排列组合不太懂。）

6. x=0.01, what is 1-x4(四次方)/1-x. (my answer 1.010101)

7. Tom has 6 books, he wants to bring 4 on vacation. How many different combinations can he bring? (My answer: C4,6)

Verbal:

1. 有一道boldface题, 题目在GWD里出现过,选项好象没有,大概的意思是，Bank executives recently purchased stocks of the bank. So some say that bank depositors no need to worry about the financial situation of the bank. However, this claim is oversimplified, because bank executives often purchase stocks from the bank to influence public opinion.

(My answer: the first of the evidence that supports the claim the argument challenges, the second is the main conclusion of the argument.)

2. Reading:

1) more women joined work force during the Second World War, but it didn't change the public's perception about women as symbol of family values. A scholar did a research about two manazines at that time.

2）The rocks that formed by a volcano ages ago contained a high concentration of magnasium. Such a high concentration of magnasium can only be achieved by high temperature. The finding reguted earlier studies about the temperature of the Earth's mantle.

3) another article about women and the workforce. 文章里讲到两个例子， 分别得出不同结论，说明观点有待考证。

3. CR:

Hospital decided to hire independent maintenance companies instead of manufacturers to maintain the high-tech equipment. Independent companies offer cheaper service and their work is as good as the manufacturer's.

If the hospital needs to make sure it is making the right decision, it needs to evaluate what of the following?

a. whether other manufacturers offer cheaper maintenance service and same kind of equipment.

b. whether the re-sale or trade in price of the equipment maintained by the manufacturers are higher than those maintained by other companies. (I chose this answer, but had also considered a. )

就记得这些了。

觉得大家不要紧张，千万不要花太多时间去搞那些很难的题目。（说这个可能会被人骂， 但是我觉得那个什么费费宝典没有什么用，上面的题目都很难。） GWD 很有用。如果有人也象我一样天天要朝10晚8的上班，没有时间复习的话，我会建议花周末，或早上的时间做GWD。
