Q27:
A box contains exactly 24 balls, of which 12 are red and 12 are
blue. If two balls are to be picked from this box at random and
without replacement, what is the probability that both balls will
be red?
A 11/46
B 1/4
C 5/12
D 17/40
E 19/40
No discussion regarding this question. Please forgive me if I ask
something stupid.
The correct answer is a; however, after redoing it tons of times
and still struggling, it leaves me no chice but post it here.
Here's how I get my answer: C(1,12) * C (1,11) / C(2,24)=11/23
There must be something wrong.
Please help me.
Thanks
C(2,12)/C(2,24)=11/46
A
