答案C我可以理解了啊，但是不太明白C中的prediction指的是什么，是Thus, for most farmers the savings on pesticides would not compensate for the higher seed costs and the cost of additional fertilizer. 这个结论吗？黑脸题中，prediction就是conclusion吗？？

你说的没错，这个prediction就是Thus, for most farmers the savings on pesticides would not compensate for the higher seed costs and the cost of additional fertilizer.

仔细读选项可以看出来。

再回过头来看这道题，我怎么突然觉得conclusion是最后一句了呢。试想啊，读完这段文字，你得出的结论是什么？那肯定是最后一句话的内容啊。不见得你读完了这段话，得出的结论是thus后面的内容吧。。。。
