Q27:

A store’s selling price of $2,240 for a certain computer would yield a profit of 40 percent of the store’s cost for the computer.  What selling price would yield a profit of 50 percent of the computer’s cost?

A.    $2,400

B.       $2,464

C.    $2,650

D.    $2,732

E.       $2,800

我是这样做的

2240/X=(0.4*C)/(0.5*C)

-----> 2240/x=4/6

----->x=2800

可是答案是A

请问我错在哪里

我理解题意为卖2240元的电脑产生的利润为40%的花费要卖多少钱的电脑能产生利润等于50%的花费

不知理解对不对

理解方法对吗

selling price=profit +cost=1.4 cost

cost=2240/1.4=1600

new selling price= 1600（1+0.5）=2400

open to disscusion...

错误在于,等式左边是价格比,但右边却是利润比. 自然不等. 右边应该为本 (1.4 *C) / (1.5 *C)
