after driving to a riverfront parking lot, Bob plans to run south along the river, turn around, and return to the parking lot, runnning north along the same path. After running 3.25 miles south, he decides to run for only 50 minutes more. If Bob runs at a constant rate of 8 minutes per mile, how many miles father south can he run and still be able to return to the parking lot in 50 minutes?
a. 1.5
b. 2.25
c. 3.0
d. 3.25
e. 4.75

我觉得我读不大懂题目。

BOB到停车场后，先向南开3.25miles，打算只开50分钟就收工。继续向南开 x

miles, 然后向北原路返回停车场。这道题的陷阱在于，题目中速度是8min/mile,

而通常速度表示为 X mile/min. 问向南能开多远，确保他能在50分钟内返回。
设能向南开X miles. 8x+8(x+3.25)=50, 解得 X=1.5

在开车去了parking lot 后，bob决定沿着河向南跑，然后掉头，再返回到停车场，向北往回跑的时候是沿着相同的路线。在向南跑了3.25miles后，他决定只再跑50min。如果bob以相同的速度跑，8min per mile，试问他还能向南跑多少mile才能在50min内返回parking lot。做法二楼的已经给了，希望可以帮到你
