Following several years of declining advertising sales, the Greenville Times reorganized its advertising sales force. Before reorganization, the sales force was organized geographically, with some sales representatives concentrating on citv-center businesses and others concentrating on different outlying regions. The reorganization attempted to increase the sales representatives' knowledge of clients' businesses by having each sales representative deal with only one type of industry or of retailing. After the reorganization, revenue from advertising sales increased.   In assessing whether the improvement in advertising sales can properly be attributed to the reorganization, it would be most helpful to find out which of the following?

A.What proportion of the total revenue of the Greenville Times is generated by advertising sales?
B. Has the circulation of the Greenville Times increased substantially in the last two years?
C.Among all the types of industry and retailing that use the Greenville Times as an advertising vehicle, which type accounts for the largest proportion of the newspaper's advertising sales?
D.Do any clients of the sales representatives of the Greenville Times have a standing order with the Times for a fixed amount of advertising per month?

我对题目的理解 在广告上收入的上升时由于这样的reorganization?
OG的解释 B 流通增加 higher rates can be charged and revenue will increase.这里的HIGH RATES是什么。
我对这个选项的原本理解是流通增加,杂志的销售量也上升了,所以REVENUE也增加了,但是仔细一看说得是在广告上的REVENUE上升,感觉和总的流通量关系不大,请大神帮我讲个明白

这题我是这么理解的,如果整体的发行量增加的话,那么即使广告的收入比占得份额不变或者减少,但是由于总数变大,所以总的广告收入还是增加的。如果发行量没有增加或者减少,但是广告的收入还是增加了,那说明广告所占的收入比增加了,效益好了。

我举个例子吧,比如每本杂志中广告的收入可以是2元,发行100本,那么广告收入就是200. 现在广告的收入增加了,比方说增加到300元,但是如果发行量也增加了,比如发行了150本,这样的话,每本的广告的收入还是2元,所以广告的收入状况并没有变好,和以前还是一样。

按照你得说法我想关键就是在 广告收入=单份杂志广告收入X杂志的销量 这样单份杂志广告收入不变化,销量上升,广告收入也会上涨

我是这么理解的,但是看OG的意思的话,它的解释应该是发行量上升了,对广告的要价也会上升,从而导致广告收入的上升。

恩,是的,OG上是这么解释的~和我想的不一样,而且觉得原解释有点绕
