<--StartFragment --> The average of the 5 positive integers k,m,r,s
and t is 16, and k<m<r<s<t. If t is 40, what is the greater
possible value of the median of the 5 integers?
6
K+m+r+s+t = 16*5 = 80. the median is r, and r = 80-t-s-k-m = 40 - s-k-m〈= 40 - 1-2-(r+1), so we can get r<=18.
note: k>=1, m>=2, s>=r+1.
thanks a lot !!!
