For 35, I am not quite sure which one is good, but I pick E for 36

Reasons are as following:

For 36, although the policy analyst first appears in line 26, actually this term is carried until the very end of the passage, in the last few lines, the passage mentioned that they advocate a policy requesting government to subside for single parents with a wage below poverty line. This is the reason I pick E.

Could somebody explain item 35 for us?

36题，CHOOSE E

36题中的C 项一定错，因为那应该是经济学家的提议，不是政策分析家的。政策分析家认为就算工资平等也没有作用，因为男与女的工资都很低。

E项也有值得商榷的地方，因为它强调 “wages are less than half the average worker's wage", 但是文中并没有low wage的进一步解释。但是偶觉得e比c好。

题干已经限定了是do the same job，而楼上提出的but以后的问题是基于男女从事不同的工作，和问题没有关系呀

我开始也选c，但仔细想想还是应该A 因为虽然文中提到

但是答案是

文中并没有说是要 more rigorous，只不过说要apply

虽然对LS来说已经没意义了但既然看到这里了我还是穿越时空回答一下希望对以后的同学有用.

wage就是一种 appropriate sources of family income

注意本题指代some economists,定位在Some economists believe that rigorous enforcement of existing equal pay laws would substantially decrease this wage inequity.
而楼主的C说的对象是other economists定位在other economists argue that a comparable worth standard, which would mandate that women and men in any jobs that require comparable training and responsibility be paid the same, should be applied instead.
