为什么要选B呢?不懂,偶选的是A...

I choose B.

1. Should use "after" here. and B is better than D in clarity.

2. "like + noun/pronoun" is used to modify the whole sentence.

The "noun/pronoun" should be logicallly comparable to the

subject

of the sentence: if you choose A, the comparison is between

"Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi"

and "his mother’s (face)". It is not logically right.
