我觉得吧，别像YP那样抠字眼，就那么连贯读下来，观其大略，反而更容易理解。
这句子连贯读下来，知道意思是：

如果要转化成逻辑简图，就是
(we know the correlation) A ~ B
(but we don't know which one causes the other) A ---> B or B ----> A
然后A和B，一个是[CO2] (atmosphere CO2) 另一个是T (temperature)
