看过讨论, 觉得D虽然讲了文章的意思,但是问题问的是the primary purpose,不是main idea?我摘录下来的内容都是作者阐述的其他科学家的观点,从however后面开始批判.所以,我觉得主要的意图就应该选A啊?

这题我也是没有搞明白A为什么不行，有的说文中不仅有反对也有赞成，可是dispute不是也有议论讨论的意思么？D选项的examine好像有点奇怪啊

我的理解~

本文对“环境有影响”是没有争议的，而主要是在说明如何影响的，所以感觉D比A更合适。而且第一段下半部讲解certainbiological，第二段讲解environmentalinfluences，故D也比A全面。

第一段说科学家对一种diatom Hv，它表现出一种tide-associated周期性行为。简单描述了一下这个行为，并且说这种diatom有一个生物钟。
第二段首句就说，这并不代表生物钟是一尘不变的。接下来说了环境因素对生物钟的影响。
D.examine how certain biological and environmental influences affect the     tide-associated behavioral rhythms displayed by the diatom Hantzschia virgata
D项很好的概括了先说生物影响，再说环境因素影响的大体思路。


而B的意思是，描述了这种周期性行为是怎样have changed over time的。B对应的是第一段提到的一个细节，不能作为主旨，定位原文在：

B说这文章主要是描述了H这种植物的某些行为规律随着时间是如果变化的。我总觉得这个describe用的很不好，文章的主旨还是在探测 biological and environmental influences 对H植物的影响。而且，文章并没有很直接地描述出来over time 的具体变化是什么啊~
