Hi all,
Is it a long shot for me to get into U.S TOP 20 or LBS
unless I retake GMAT?
How about my chance for Rotman or Ivey in Canada?
Thanks!
FYI, my stats:
Language major/CFA Level III candidate
5 years w/e
The first 3 years at a state-owned import&export corp. with 2 years oversea experience in Europe
Currently work as a financial journalist for a U.S. media company.
GMAT 690
TOEFL taken in Aug, above 630 likely
In my opinion, you have good chance to get into US top20, LBS, or Ivey and Rotman.
Remember GMAT is not the only decisive factor. A whole package of you application is more important.
Of course, with the current GMAT score, you will be in a disadvantageous position when competing to get into the magic seven schools.
If you focus your target on Top10, you'd better retake the GMAT.
Otherwise, your qualification will be weakened.
Thanks a lot for your inputs!!!
Probably I will retake it.

One famous saying goes: time is like the water in sponge; if only you squeeze the sponge, you can alway have the time.
Best of wishes!
