173. Joan of Arc, a young Frenchwoman who claimed to be divinely inspired, turned the tide of English victories in her country by liberating the city of Orleans and she persuaded Charles VII of France to claim his throne.

(A) she persuaded Charles VII of France to claim his throne

(B) persuaded Charles VII of France in claiming his throne

(C) persuading that the throne be claimed by Charles VII of France

(D) persuaded Charles VII of France to claim his throne

(E) persuading that Charles VII of France should claim the throne

In choices C and E, turned... and persuading that violates parallelism, 为什么说CE不平行呢?那我认为persuading和 liberating平行不行吗?请各位指教!

从意思看,应该是turned the tide of English victories in her country 和persuaded Charles VII of France to claim his throne两个行为并列。如果硬要说liberating 和persuade并列,那么至少persuading 之前要有by,即by liberating,  and by persuading
