我没什么高招,说出来也许大家会失望,只有多读,真的没什么捷径好走,任何技巧上的东西都是建立在一定的实力基础上的. 我以前上过新东方的GRE班,所有的课我觉得最没用的就是阅读. 阅读能力的提高怎么可能靠别人来教呢? 而且别人的方法也不一定适合你. 所以一定要有自己的方法.

词汇量是一方面,我说不好GMAT的词汇量需要多大, 但如果生词并不影响你对全文的理解也就够用了。一个例子是偶小时候读书，那时候认不了许多的字，但读四大名著之类也磕磕绊绊地明白八九不离十。 OOPS。扯远了。

其次，不要有畏难心理。阅读有什么呢？不就是一段话说明一个中心思想吗？为了说明这个中心思想，作者可以举例，引用，支持或驳斥其他的观点，偶尔还有些“弦外之音”什么的。再有就是作者的语气，客观的，全力支持的，批判的，等等，诸如此类。所以，阅读并不难，一定要在战略上藐视他，莫要长他人志气灭自己威风。

可是，我们一定要在战术上重视它。平时有意识的读一些东西。有意识的读，不是为了读而读，不是今天一定要读多少篇的量化指标，而是到底读到了什么。读的过程中，PAUSE A SECOND，停下来想一想这一段说了什么，作者是怎样阐述他的观点的，在脑子里过一过。（好象小时候分析课文一样，总结中心思想和段落大意，

) 我认为GMAT阅读主要考对文章的总体把握。

再有，适当扩大知识面。专业偏文科的同学可能对天上的星星怎么发光，老虎是猫科还是虎科或者水的分子式并不熟悉，偏理科的同学可能不太清楚美国的CIVIL MOVEMENT，anti-trust law，布几那法索在美洲还是非洲等等。适当扩大知识面，泛读，DON‘T PAY TOO MUCH ATTENTION TO DETAILS，可以针对自己不太熟悉的领域，读一些科普读物，如DISCOVER之类，社会科学类读物，如TIME，BUSINESS WEEK。没有时间的话就多读读真题里的相关文章，对自己不太熟悉的TOPIC多下点功夫。

最后，一点考试的技巧。从KAPLAN学来，在草稿纸上画格子或多写几个ABCDE，第一遍读答案时用排除法时划去对应的选项，节省时间给可能正确的答案。我第一次考时翻来覆去地读，排除了的也读（因为记不清，苯吧？〕，浪费了很多时间。

就到这里吧，惭愧的是我自己并没有完全按自己的想法去做，时间紧是一方面，还有自己的惰性，如果我做到了的话，就不是7**,而是8**了，HOHO。

单从应试方面讲的话，我还是比较推崇杨继的方法，先提高速度，后提高准确率

就是想听宋昊瞎侃，放松情绪。对了，宋昊还在新东方吗？

教我阅读的是钱坤强，听说是英国博士，说中文是方言，说英文倒很地道。。。可惜

我感觉最重要是不要因为提高速度而放弃对文章的理解！应该努力从语法上抢时间。

Today, I did GRE reading , it is my first time. Got 20 mistakes in 103 questions. Feel GRE reading is different with GMAT in:
1.testing understand accurately to some words .
2.articles's purpose and meanings are less clearly than GMAT.
3.looks more difficult.

When I did those articles, I didn't like to look back for the answer, just from my temporate memory or understand. The error rate of short articles seems greater than long paragraphs.

I gave answer instinctly but most are correct. It is bad thing.

How do you guys think about GMAT? LIke to hear from some, thank you.

Three important keys to GMAT reading comprehension

In GMAT Reading Comprehension, there're three keys you have to master:

1. After reading the whole article, you have to parse its logical organization, making sure where its main idea is, how the author organizes this article, what the primary attitudes of all kinds of roles are, etc.

2. After reading each question or corresponding choices, you have to decide on what you can depend to rapidly retrieve the corresponding parts from the passage, sometimes on the noun phrase such as names, sometimes on key words such as "Except/Least", sometimes on actions or positions.

Remember: Never answer any question if you couldn't find the original parts from the passage. Never, ever, ever, especially taking for granted the so-called answers.

3. After retrieving the corresponding parts from the passage, you have to assess how the author paraphrases the original sentences using thesaurus substitutes.

Remember: Never take for granted any choice only based on a wee bit vague impression in your mind simply after the first-time rough scanning.

If you can summarize a set of rules on which ETS depends of how to paraphrase the best choices depending on the original in most cases, you'll find that you can answer a lot of questions with few errors at all.

After finishing, you'll find that you already read the entire passage at least 3 times, percolating deep down between the lines from layer to layer.
