我一直怀疑OG之外的语法题答案不是ETS提供的,而是新东方老师自己做的。
此题的“参考答案”是C,我觉得应该是D。
相信大多数人认为根据consider X Y的简洁原则,马上可以排除三个选项,剩下C和E相比,得出C是正确选项
但我认为C的问题很大。首先,这里根本没有必要用though来表示转折,就算要用连接词,也应该用since或because之类表原因的连接词。其次,C选项的主句主语太长,谓语却只有几个词,明显头重脚轻。第三,C选项用了被动语态,也算是违反了主动优先原则。第四,在意思上,delicacy一词就足以表示“受美食家欢迎的珍馐美味”的意思,没有必要再用"gourmet"甚至"fit for a gourmet”之类的中式英语来画蛇添足。
相比之下,D选项不但避免了以上的所有尴尬,而且从句意重心的角度讲,也安排的非常合理。因为题干主要意思是“多数日本人把这种绿茶视为Yokohama地区独有的珍品”,因此这个意思应该安排在句子的主句中。而另一层意思“该茶叶包含棕色米成分”则应该用从句来表述比较合适。
也许你会说D选项违反了consider X Y的简洁原则,可是请你不要忘了,在简洁原则要服从另一个大原则,那就是简洁的结果不能引发歧义,如果引发歧义,那么就不应该使用简洁原则。在D选项中,如果as被省略,那么由于as引导的修饰成分和被修饰的genmai-cha之间有一个插入的解释成分,因此会造成修饰对象指代上的ambiguity。事实上,consider X Y是consider X to be Y和consider X as Y的省略形式。当省略会引发歧义时,就要补出to be 或as.
