#83) Sales of telephones have increased dramatically over the last year. In order to take advantage of this increase, Mammoth Industries plans to expand production of its own model of telephone, while continuing its already very extensive advertising of this product. Which of the following, if true, provides most support for the view that Mammoth Industries cannot increase its sales of telephones by adopting the plan outlined above? C) Advertising has made the brand name of Mammoth Industries’ telephones widely known, but few consumers know that Mammoth Industries owns this brand. E) Despite a slight decline in the retail price, sales of Mammoth Industries’ telephones have fallen in the last year. I'm confused on choice E. Why E) weakens Mammoth Industries' plan?

首先C 不对,因为C说广告已经使M的电话的品牌众所周知,(例如叫AA),但很少人知道AA是M公司的产品。
其实这没关系,只要人们购买AA的多,M公司销量自然多。
E 正确,尽管在零售价轻微的下降,M公司在去年销量还是下降。
题目的逻辑是整个行业的销量在去年提高 推出 M公司销量也跟着高。这是前提。E则说明此前提不成立。
