due to 的用法和because一样还是和because of 一样啊？

后者，due to只能接名词性短语

due to =caused by ,
Due to rain,we were late 是错的。
Because of rain，we were late.
因为这里rain只是客观因素。

"Due" is an adjective, when expressing the meaning "caused by". So it can't be used to modify the whole sentence.
