Plantings of cotton bioengineered to produce its owninsecticide against bollworms, a major cause of crop failure, sustained littlebollworm damage until this year.  Thisyear the plantings are being seriously damaged by bollworms.  Bollworms, however, are not necessarilydeveloping resistance to the cotton’s insecticide.  Bollworms breed on corn, and last year morecorn than usual was planted throughout cotton-growing regions.  So it is likely that the cotton is simplybeing overwhelmed by corn-bred bollworms.

据文章前面所说,是cotton bioengineered ,而结论中说的是

cotton,所以的考察是不是只要是cotton都可以分泌那个杀虫剂了,

就b了

这道题在OG12蓝皮70出现~我也有过同样的问题,后来发现这道题简直就是脑筋急转弯,偷换概念,要我们establish的就是这个概念:cotton分为bioengineered和非bioengineered,今年被bollworm蚕食的cotton并没有说明上述的那一种。结论是基于bioengineered的假设的。

我怎么不同意楼上的观点呢~我觉得这个bioengineered是修饰整个cotton的呢~我觉得文章的意思是这样的,种植棉花会生物产生杀虫剂来杀死b虫,但是今天很多棉花都被b虫侵袭了,然而这个杀虫剂对b虫是很有效的。b虫又生长在棉花上,并且去年更多的棉花被种植,所以,棉花被棉花虫b,overwhelmed了~所以这里有个assumption是是种更多的棉花会产生同样比例的的杀虫剂和虫子b,这里:产生的杀虫剂比虫子小,所以支持结论了~我不懂这个和bioengineered有什马关系。

个人理解:

题干cotton-bio能产生对抗b虫的农药,但是今年却受到b虫大规模的侵害。原因不一定是b虫产生了对cotton-bio的抗体,可能是因为去年corn种植增多了(因为b虫是吃corn而活的)

结论:所以cotton 是被以corn为生的虫子给吃的

B选项:是否没有农药的cotton在今年受到了大量b虫的侵害

           回答“是”,就验证了的确是有太多以corn为生的b虫了,肯定了结论
           回答“否”,那么b虫单吃cotton-bio,而不吃普通cotton,说明b虫可能就是依靠cotton-bio而活的,或者     也可以解释成的确b虫对cotton-bio产生了抗体,就否定了结论

个人观点是,正确选项应该是能够辨别,虫害是因为虫子有了抗药性,还是因为虫子没有抗药性而只是太多了,B选项之所以正确是因为,没有分泌杀虫剂的植物作为参考组,要是没有大规模受害,说明,虫害增加只是针对bio的,说明是抗药性。如果自然的作物也大规模受害,说明,虫子不差别作案,与抗药性无关,只是因为多
