Issue: The most effective way for managers to assign work is to divide complex tasks into their simpler component parts. This way, each worker completes a small portion of the task but contributes to the whole.(经理指派工作的最有效的方法是把负责的工作分成比较简单的组成部分。

Maths

如P等于-100Q等于30,问r等于:A:-10 B:0 C 20 D 10 E -20,差点上当选A, 答案是C,

4 XY数标系统,点(a,b)一定在y=x之上?(1a=2; (2) b=a+2 (我选B)

Verbal:

SC考到三四题左右GWD中的题目,感觉风格和GWD很像,考了at a cost of, such,,as,,等等。

GWD(3-Q27)Competition in the mid-nineteenth century by large western farms gradually caused farmers in LACE w:st="on">PennsylvaniaLACE> to turn to livestock raising, but before that it was predominantly grain-producing.

  1. Competition in the mid-nineteenth century by large western farms gradually caused farmers in LACE w:st="on">PennsylvaniaLACE> to turn to livestock raising, but before that it was predominantly grain-producing.
  2. Once predominantly a grain-producing state, competition in the mid-nineteenth century from large western farms gradually was causing LACE w:st="on">PennsylvaniaLACE>’s farmers to turn to livestock raising.
  3. LACE w:st="on">PennsylvaniaLACE>’s farmers were gradually caused to turn to livestock raising by competition from large western farms in the mid-nineteenth century, but before that it was predominantly a grain-producing state.
  4. It was once predominantly grain-producing, but competition in the mid-nineteenth century by large western farms was gradually causing LACE w:st="on">PennsylvaniaLACE>’s farmers to turn to livestock raising.
  5. Pennsylvania was once a predominantly grain-producing state, but competition in the mid-nineteenth century from large western farms gradually caused the state’s farmers to turn to livestock raising. Answer: E

GWD(3-Q30)Today’s technology allows manufacturers to make small cars more fuel-efficient now than at any time in their production history.

  1. small cars more fuel-efficient now than at any time in their
  2. small cars that are more fuel-efficient than they were at any time in their
  3. small cars that are more fuel-efficient than those at any other time in
  4. more fuel-efficient small cars than those at any other time in their
  5. more fuel-efficient small cars now than at any time in Answer: C

GWD(12-Q19):Heavy commitment by an executive to a course of action, especially if it has worked well in the past, makes it likely to miss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpret them when they do appear.

  1. Heavy commitment by an executive to a course of action, especially if it has worked well in the past, makes it likely to miss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpret them when they do appear.
  2. An executive who is heavily committed to a course of action, especially one that worked well in the past, makes missing signs of incipient trouble or misinterpreting ones likely when they do appear.
  3. An executive who is heavily committed to a course of action is likely to miss or misinterpret signs of incipient trouble when they do appear, especially if it has worked well in the past.
  4. Executives’ being heavily committed to a course of action, especially if it has worked well in the past, makes them likely to miss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpreting them when they do appear.
  5. Being heavily committed to a course of action, especially one that has worked well in the past, is likely to make an executive miss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpret them when they do appear. Answer: C

GWD(2-Q21):

Environmental organizations want to preserve the land surrounding the Wilgrinn Wilderness Area from residential development. They plan to do this by purchasing that land from the farmers who own it. That plan is ill-conceived: if the farmers did sell their land, they would sell it to the highest bidder, and developers would outbid any other bidders. On the other hand, these farmers will never actually sell any of the land, provided that farming it remains viable. But farming will not remain viable if the farms are left unmodernized, and most of the farmers lack the financial resources modernization requires. And that is exactly why a more sensible preservation strategy would be to assist the farmers to modernize their farms to the extent needed to maintain viability.

GWD(4-Q21):Hunter: Hunters alone are blamed for the decline in Greenrock National Forest’s deer population over the past ten years. Yet clearly, black bears have also played an important role in this decline. In the past ten years, the forest’s protected black bear population has risen sharply, and examination of black bears found dead in the forest during the deer hunting season showed that a number of them had recently fed on deer.

In the hunter’s argument, the boldface portion plays which of the following roles?

  1. It is the main conclusion of the argument.
  2. It is an objection that has been raised against the main conclusion of the argument.
  3. It is a judgment that the argument opposes.
  4. It is a finding that the argument seeks to explain.
  5. It provides evidence in support of the main conclusion of the argument. Answer: A
