答案是D 我想知道B为什么不对。还有but also可以单独用吗？

B 中国which指代 farm, 然而带来house和家具的不是farm ，所以逻辑错误

LZ， not only,...but also的结构是一种强调but also的结构，但是它有个特点就是强调的两边都是同正同负的，也就是not only...表达正，but also。。。也表达正的态度；反之亦然

但是这题可以看出是一边正，一边坏的，所以就不该用not only...but also的结构了

这里but it also，it是说the systematic clearing，but后面是一整句话。
意思是这个clearing带来了好的方面，但是它也带来了不好的。。。转折
